Stainless Steel End Fixings

We recommend the use of ball studs or ball sockets where possible, as they allow the gas strut to be mounted at an angle. Fixings such as eyelets require the gas strut to be mounted dead in-line to prevent side loading and premature failure of the gas strut.

Ball Studs

Recommended for most applications as they allow the strut to be mounted at an angle.

Ball Sockets

Allows the strut to be mounted at an angle. Commonly found on car tailgates.

Eyelets

Used for mounting onto a bolt or pin. Eyelets are mounted "offset" as opposed to clevis forks.

Clevis Forks

Allows inline mounting (as opposed to eyelets which are offset). Can be supplied with a pin.
