Gas Strut Re-Gassing From SGS

Hatch

SGS Engineering have developed a unique re-gassing service that caters for gas struts of all shapes and sizes whilst being at a fraction of the cost of new.

More often than not we can inject the life back in to your gas struts which not only reduces costs but avoids the inconvenience of measuring your strut and trying to ensure that it is right for your application.

Our skilled engineers are on hand to thoroughly inspect your struts and evaluate the likelihood of a successful re-gas free of charge. If you do not like what you hear we can send back your struts and say no more.

If a re-gas proves unsuccessful within the warranty period then the cost of the re-gas is discounted from new gas struts purchased from SGS. We pride ourselves on providing a rapid turnaround for gas strut re-gassing and struts are dispatched back to you the day after we receive them.

Significant cost savings

An SGS re-gas of your struts has significant cost saving implications compared to purchasing new gas struts and comes in to its own when a replacement gas struts is no longer made or can not be found.

The strut must be removed from the host equipment and sent to SGS Engineering's workshop. Our facilities accommodate for gas struts of all diameters and length. The level of force can be increased from an original pressure setting to provide operating conditions to suit individual requirements.

Areas of industry where the re-gas service has great success:

Leisure vehicles, including caravans and campervans.

The gas struts on a caravan are usually not rigorously used and often just lose gas over time which leaves a strut with no lift but seals in good condition. The re-gas process involves replacing the lost gas back to factory specification which returns the gas strut to its original condition. With the impact from industry on the environment being so large we feel it our responsibility to ensure that our customers get the most out of their struts not only to cut costs but to lessen the effect we have on our surroundings - why waste money on new when a re-gas can be provided and is covered by a warranty period?
