SGS Stainless steel gas struts are manufactured from 316 grade stainless steel and are ideal for marine applications such as helm seats, hatches and bulkhead doors. Our stainless steel brackets and end fittings range allow simple mounting to most applications.

Select a rod diameter from below, depending on the force range required.

6mm diameter rods have a maximum force of 350N, 8mm diameter rods 700N and 10mm diameter rods 1200N.

Adjustable gas struts are supplied at the maximum force the rod range is capable of. Using the valve located on the cylinder, gas can be released to provide the exact force required. If too much gas is vented, SGS can refill the struts with our re-gassing service.
