The Draper Claw Hammer is forged from fine grain high carbon steel that has been correctly hardened and tempered with a lacquer coating to provide extra rust protection, then to give it a little shine it has a polished face. The shaft is made from a natural straight grained hickory that has been sanded and lacquered to keep it smooth and comfortable to hold.
