Q&A
UK Made - not a cheap imitation from the Far East or EU.
We recommend always replacing struts as a pair to keep the force even between them - often replacing just one strut causes the older strut to fail soon after. This is because even if an old strut hasn’t totally failed, it will have lost pressure and matching it with a new strut will cause unequal forces between the two struts, side loading and premature failure of both struts.

Price Delivery Quality Review by Nick(Posted on 30/05/2014)Replacement Roof Struts for Villa3After finding the strut ref.no. on my 1986 van is obsolete I was uncertain if this was the correct one as the conversion in the photo isnt a Villa3 and also the description in the link makes reference to the strut being for the tailgate. However after some help from SGS online customer service I am pleased to say they are correct. Just a mention that the eyelet bolt holes were slightly larger diameter to my originals and I would have swapped them over but the thread was different diameter also, but they still bolted on tight enough and I'm very pleased to have sourced these quality struts. Thanks SGS. -
