I purchased a gas strut which I thought was correct, it arrived the next day and found I had not measured it correctly. I called SGS and they talked me through what I required, the right one arrived the next day, which was a custom size and even though it was around 2.30pm that afternoon, it has arrived again the next day. Outstanding service from every aspect of dealing with SGS. If all companies were like this life would be a breeze.

I recently purchased an adjustable gas strut from your company for my sailing yacht's boom.

I rang Selden - the mast manufacturers - and fortunately they did not have one in stock as if they had it would have been at a cost of over £200.

I then rang your company and unfortunately I don't have the name of the gentleman that I spoke to, but he was very knowledgeable, polite and efficient and a credit to your company and for this I only received an invoice of £54.30 including delivery.

Perhaps you could supply Selden masts with their gas struts - but I would inflate your price to fit in with theirs.

It was very important to me that I got this part and that it was the right one as we are currently sailing around the world.

I just thought that I would write to thank your company for its excellent service and good value.
