Mountfield SP53 Petrol Lawnmower

The SP53 is a self-propelled mower equipped with a powerful Mountfield ST 170 OHV Autochoke (166cc) engine. With a 51cm cutting deck featuring 5 preset cutting heights (ranging from 27-90mm) and a spacious 60-litre grass collector, this mower offers both efficiency and convenience. The included mulching plug provides an additional option for a recycled finish.

Designed for use in longer grass and medium to large-sized gardens, the SP53 showcases rugged 280mm rear wheels that not only contribute to its purposeful appearance but also ensure a smoother finish, even on uneven terrain. The metallic silver steel cutter deck adds a stylish touch, and a front anti-scalp plate guarantees an excellent finish, even at lower cutting heights.

Powered by an easy-start ST 170 OHV Autochoke 4-stroke engine, the mower is operated with ease through a single lever, allowing for a choice of 5 cutting height positions. The large 60-litre collector efficiently collects clippings, and the included mulching plug provides a fine finish without the need for collecting cuttings.

Mulching is facilitated by the supplied mulching plug, which clips onto the back of the mower. Mulching saves time and speeds up the mowing process by more than 30%, as there's no need to constantly empty the collector. The mulched clippings are not noticeable when the grass is cut regularly and not at the lowest setting.

The self-propelled feature makes mowing effortless—simply pull the drive lever, and the mower moves forward; release the lever, and it comes to a stop. With folding handles for storage, the SP53 is compact when not in use, making it a practical and efficient choice for lawn maintenance.
