The SGS 6 litre oil-less reciprocating air compressor is ideal for DIY and trade applications such as spray-painting, tyre inflation, nailing and stapling thanks to it's 6L capacity, high flow 5.7 CFM air displacement and 8 bar maximum working pressure. It offers a fantastic combination of performance, safety and value for money.

This compressor is fitted with a standard 13A UK plug.
Please note this compressor is for semi-pro and not commercial use.

Covered by a 2 year extended warranty.
SGS are a British company with full spares, warranty and service centre based in our East Midlands HQ. Our air compressors are hand built by our expert engineers to the highest standard of quality and are European CE marked and German GS certified for product safety.
Due to a change in EU legislation the safety valve rings have been removed by ALL manufacturers of air compressors. This is due to the ring being incorrectly used to vent the compressor, causing undue wear which should not be present on a safety device. The air should drained from the tank via the valve on the belly of the tank. This location is used so that the water is drained at the same time.

I checked the user manual (these things have to be done sometimes) and I didn’t find the issue in the troubleshooting guide. I rang SGS Engineering and spoke to Stephen in sales who after I had explained the issue gave me advice / instructions on a possible remedy. It took a matter of minutes to resolve the problem, having followed the instructions.

I have not used any tools on it yet or used it for spray painting.
Although I am going to attempt to respray my motorcycle with it in the near future.

I am hoping that it is capable of producing a nice spray pattern with the provided gun. -

Quality Price Delivery Review by Les(Posted on 01/08/2014)Top qualityWhat a fantastic piece of Kit, I've been toying with the idea of getting a compressor for ages but the small portable ones I saw didn't impress until I came across this model. Should have looked harder before, its very neat, compact and packs a great punch of air which doesn't fade of to quickly. The motor does kick in quickly, its quiet compared to some others. The rubber mountings helping with noise reduction and vibration. Although I wouldn't want to carry it for miles as it is a solid piece of engineering but thats why I bought it in the first place. I didn't buy the snap couplings but have now much easier to swap the kit around. Can't fault the delivery very quick and well packaged. This kit had the usual attachments, air blower, paint spray gun, tyre gauge etc couple this with all the other types of air attachments you can get it should meat all my needs.
All in all its an excellent bit of workshop kit, don't waste your time and money on the cheaper smaller stuff this is set to last you. -

Price Delivery Quality Review by brian59(Posted on 06/02/2014)A+ ratingI'd had enough of driving to the petrol station to fill up the tyres on our motorhome or car, only to find the air machine broken. So I purchased this compressor and the air kit instead and can confirm the type inflator works brilliantly!
I'm sure I will find many other uses for it as well so I am very pleased, A+ rating.
