Useful Advice for Testing the Pump

With any hydraulic or pressure testing equipment, you should always regularly check and test it is working properly to ensure the best results. You can do this by taking the following steps with your purchases to test them:

First, you need to run the engine at a set number of rpm and then adjust the hydraulic tester's pressure compensating valve to represent a theoretical workload.
You then need to compare the meter readings on your equipment with the manufacturer specs to confirm the pump is properly working.
If the oil flow and the pressure do not meet the respective specs, it will mean that the pump is defective.
Equally, if your test results and specifications are accurate, it will mean that the issue is elsewhere in the system and other tests need carrying out to identify the problem.
